All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions below. we reserve the right to amend these periodically as shown in "Last Modified". If you continue to use our services after the modification date then this constitutes your acknowledgement and consent of such amendments and your agreements to be bound by the below.
1. The owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments and de-wormer treatments.
2. The owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked. The owner is financially responsible for any loss or damage to property whilst your dog is boarding. Mark My Territory is not held accountable for vet fees or third party claims whilst your dog is in our care.
3. The owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking or home boarding; including behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour; including aggression, incontinence or lack of house training and excessive loud barking or whining. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render the owner's dog unsuitable for walking or home boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement.
4. We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. We recommend owners provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. The owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred by Mark My Territory.
5. If dogs require towelling off or hosing after walks, towels must be provided and left at the point of entry to the house.
6. The Client agrees to provide keys/arrange access to the dog for the agreed appointment; failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service and will be paid in full by the client.
7. We reserve the right to refuse or dismiss any dog that does not meet the health, temperament or other standards. The determination will be made at the sole discretion of Mark My Territory.
8. The owner consents to their dog being photographed, videotaped and/or used in media or advertising by Mark My Territory without prior approval. All such property will remain the property of Mark My Territory.
9. Mark My Territory will only let dogs off leads once the dog has been assessed to be sufficiently well behaved and will remain at the discretion of Mark My Territory.
10. Whilst every effort is made to have one-to-one walks, your dog may be walked with other friendly dogs up to a maximum 3 others.
11. Mark My Territory offers services where dogs co-mingle in groups and meet other dogs. The Client accepts that during normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play will be carefully monitored to avoid injuries, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.
12. The client must provide all items necessary for dogs to be adequately cared for in the client’s absence, ie, food, leads, tags and collars, harnesses, etc. Poo bags will be supplied by Mark My Territory. Should dogs require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Mark My Territory, these will be purchased and added to the invoice.
13. We will do our best to ensure collars fit however ultimately it is the owner’s responsibility that they do and if the dog escapes the collar then the owner accepts full liability for any injuries etc.
Booking:-
(Walking) Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are e-mailed or text to us no later than Sunday evenings. Mark My Territory may take bookings with 24 hours notice however bookings made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to an extra charge. Your booking time is an estimate and whilst we endeavour to turn up there might be unforeseen circumstances so please allow approximately 30 minutes after your booked time
(Boarding) We ask for a minimum of two-days notice prior to your proposed stay and a small deposit at the time of booking will be required to secure your place (25% of full stay). If the deposit is not sent at time of your booking, we are not able to guarantee your place. Please note: resident dogs will need to be socialised with clients prior to boarding commencing. The client consents that their dog(s) may be boarded with others.
Cancellation:-
(Walking) You may cancel your booked slot and provided you give a minimum of 24-hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk commencing, the full rate will be charged.
(Boarding) We require a minimum of four-days notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the stay payable and your deposit is non-refundable. Once boarding commences a further 25% payment is due under any circumstances with the remainder payable at the end of the stay.
Charges:-
(Walking) Charges are as advertised on our main page.
(Boarding) Charges are per day (not night) this applies from when your dog arrives to when your dog leaves for example from Saturday to Saturday will count as an eight day stay.
Payments are due weekly on a Friday or whichever day is your last walk. For example if you book a Monday-Thursday walk then payment will be due on Thursday.
Late payment may result in services being stopped and late fee payments being applied.
At particularly busy times of the year such as Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays a supplement may be payable.
Trackers Or Tracking Devices:- Tracking devices are designed for pet ownership only, they're not designed to be used whilst in the care of a professional dog walker. Trackers collect data on the exact location of the wearer, this includes collecting data on every customer address your dog walker attends to pick up and drop off a dog, for walks or daycare. This breaks government data protection and GDPR. Any tracking device will be removed and if the dog is a flight risk, it will be kept secure on a lead. Our customers privacy including thier address information is our first priority.
Termination Policy:-
Clients and Mark My Territory agree to give one week’s written notice to cancel the agreement. If you do not require the service for that week a cost of 50% of that weeks walks will be due. This will be based on an average of your previous 4 weeks.
Late Payment Of Commercial Debts Act 1988 amended 1998 & 2002, we would like to remind customers that payments are due at the end of each working week or on final working day of that week. We as a company reserve the right to impose a £2.50 initial late payment fee if a payment is more than three days overdue, then £0.50 charged on a daily basis from the fourth day until payment is received in full.
